Abstract

It is concerned with how words are built from smaller units called morphemes, which are the smallest meaningful units in a language. This paper provides an introduction to morphology, exploring key concepts, types of morphemes, word formation processes, and the relevance of morphology in understanding languages. It is designed for beginners and aims to offer a clear, approachable explanation of this important area of linguistic study.
